      The Last Days of Jesus

      broken image

      The week of Easter is often referred to as Passion Week (or Holy Week) among followers of Jesus Christ. We know it that way because of the passion Jesus showed to fulfill His Fathers purpose for redemption as He faithfully walked through the persecution, ridicule, criticism, pain, suffering, beating, death and ultimate resurrection.

      As a follower of Jesus Christ, this is one of the most significant and meaningful weeks of the entire year for me. I encourage you to follow along each day. While you do, spend personal time this week with the Father, the Son and the Spirit in the study of His word and in gratitude for all that He did and continues to do with great passion for you. Unpack the word. Examine the text. Feel the emotion, intrigue, pain, betrayal of all that is happening. But, above all grasp the love that Jesus has for you that He would choose to endure all of this for you and me. Let Romans 5:8 resonate through your heart and life this week;

      But God proves His own love for us in that while we were

      still sinners, Christ died for us! (HCSB)

      The following is a simple outline of the events of The Last Days of Jesus’ life. I have attached dates that are not intended to correspond historically, but only serve as a reference to correspond to our week as we follow along with the final days of Jesus’ life.
